Telling
Christians have great news to share with one another and with the world
Telling one another
Perhaps the main way we serve the church is to share with others the good news of Jesus Christ. First and foremost, we share the gospel with one another, so that we might be encouraged to keep our eyes fixed on our Saviour:
‘See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today,’ so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.’ (Hebrews 3:12-13)
We encourage all church members to be a part of a small group or one-to-one Bible study. We will not be effective Christians unless we tell the gospel to one another.
TELLING THE WORLD
We also share the gospel to people who do not yet know Jesus. In accordance with Jesus’ command, this is essential to our calling as Christians:
‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you’. (Matthew 28:18-20)
We encourage church members to both live and speak in a way that honours Jesus, both with friends at home, and colleagues at work
Throughout the year we host a variety of outreach events and courses which will be attractive to those investigating the claims of Jesus, and we also aim to equip all believers to be confident in sharing their faith.
